Reality Strikes Again, and other things...

Well, it's now the ninth week of school.

I'm totally tired.

Wow. This has been a really hard nine weeks but I'm not quitting. Too much money is involved. Speaking of which:Nothing at this school is free. When you read the fine print, it costs money to breathe the air hear. It's "private air". Ultra-exclusive. I'm so glad I've been afforded this oppourtunity. Hooray for me.

But really. I'm glad to be here. It's totally by the grace of God that I'm able to stay here. Coming up with my monthly tuition payments is always an interesting venture. I always know when that time comes around. Work gets really hard. It doesn't come as easily as it does at other times of the month. I guess because mostly all my bills are due around the same time.
Is that wise-to have all your bills due at the same time?

Reality always has a way of hitting you when you least expect it. For me, it was realizing that I'm in this for the long haul. Thank God, that he is in my life to comfort me during these little reality checks.

Times of Refreshing
The time of refreshing was a great event that took place at my church this past weekend, and the reason why there hasn't been a post is because I'm still recovering from fall-out of God's presence and power that is always life-changing, when you encounter him. Joy is in my heart, and he has renewed my strength and my zeal for him. Great is the Lord. And greatly is he to be prasied!
Uncle Watch
On this past Saturday, I babysat my five month old twin niece and nepehw for the first time by myself. Everybody thought something bad would happen while they were in my care. What is it? Men can't take care of children? Poppycock! We got along just fine. Jae'da and I usually don't get along to well. She cries all the time. Jordyn is always good. That's my number one homie! He laughs at all my jokes. And he likes to talk. But Saturday night, the tables were turned. Jae'da went right to sleep. Not Jordyn. He stayed up. Talking. For most of the night. My roomate ended up putting him to sleep, because I had dozed off trying to do it myself. Taking care of children is more than a notion, but I'm starting to get the hang of it. I use to put their diapers on really loose. So when you'd pick them up, the diaper would fall right off of them. Exposing naked baby. Ha! My sister Karelyn, their mother, was not too happy that I was putting their diapers on wrong. But I didn't know that!
Stay tuned. As I get more stories, I'll be adding them to uncle watch.
Discussion: What advice would you give a new uncle of twins?
Well, until next time...
